The turkey is in the bag

Restore it? No, put a drivetrain in it and keep it like that. I'm not a big fan of "Patina" but this one is way cool looking as is.

You read my mind about the car hauler. That would be one cool car hauler, but if he ever sells it, the next guy will probably think half way into the project, "what the hell was I thinking".
Truck and bus guys are nuts. I've seen some restored trucks where they literally started from scratch. In their eyes, that van is very restorable.

Thanks for posting the pic's, it's great to put some faces to the names...maybe we should all post a photo? You and your car/project. Love the van, restore the drivetrain and enjoy it. You should BOTH be proud of your rides, there's a lot of skill and talent invested there.

Excellent! Shouldn't there be more pics???
I've got a bunch of pic's that i'll post once I get home, Took some cool shots on the beach at Daytona. should be able to post Wednesday.

We stopped in St Augastine this afternoon and toured the old fort there. It was great .... they fired off a 600 lb cannon.

We also met Zack, (Monaco75) and his wife, Great folks. We had a nice chat at a Dairy Queen in Ft Augastine. This board is loaded with great, interesting folks. We then continued north. We're in Jacksonville fl now .... Savanna tomorrow.

That's cool. We still had split window M151 Jeeps when I started in 1976. Same cotton fatigues too. I loved them with extra starch and spit shined jump boots for Guard Mount Duty.

Carlisle 13'. Waited a full year for it and now its just a memory.

LOL! Carlisle 2014 is right around the corner......

I'm looking forward to finally meeting you Gary. I saw you sitting in a lawn chair behind Dave's car but I didn't know it was you at the time. LOL!

Hey Bob, the feelings mutual. I think when I arrived I may have "just" missed the c body photo shoot in front of your car, but I plan to be at Carlisle 14' so hopefully we'll get to shake hands then.

Roger that.......I'm looking forward to that too.

Maybe this year we can better organize a FCBO dinner (Dave tried last year).

I was guilty of not showing up....had a planned meeting with Army friends and toured Gettysburg. I drove a lot of miles that weekend. LOL!

Carlisle 14!!! Can't wait! Is it too early to start a count down?

NO it is not... I have reservations as the new Holiday inn across from Hoss's. We have stayed at the Clarion/ Hotel Carlisle for the last fifteen years, the place has deteriorated past what I care to stay in.

Start the countdown Chris

Ya man........it's not too early to start Carlisle 2014.
