Why wasn't this done in the day? Because B bodies could be had cheap...now they're priced into the stratosphere even for cars that are really junk. Hence people are starting to turn to C bodies for this kind of thing...especially the 65-66 Furys which are really close in dimensions to a B body anyway.

The monster 300 is cool, but it should be green. At least you know it's gonna roll over some chebys and not be derbied.

That's not silly.
I know what he was thinking.
Did you notice the straight front axle?
Do you know the history of Gassers?

A little bit. Lifting cars with truck axles, weight reduction and drag racing on nitromethane.

I just meant in response to the thread title about how some people do things to cars that others would rather them not do to those particular models. Sorry, should have been more clear.

I wouldnt really class this as a gasser exactly...IMO its more akin to a 70's "street freak" I always wondered what my 66 would look like with a straight axle...I would ahve done it differently...lower, wheels tucked and or wells radiused...tunnel ram

I am torn..part of me hates it and the other wants it so I can drive the snot out of it....
