I have all of the original paperwork on my monaco, from when she was bought new. Even have a paper on the car that was turned in to buy the monaco, a 1969 plymouth satellite 4dr.

Through the years, I've looked around on google, trying to find any info out on the original owners, but never really came up with anything. The car was bought by a Marvin, and Marguerite Dubbe, at C.L. Tharp motors in Corvallis Oregon on january 22nd 1975. During the chrysler clearence carnival.

The dealership seems to have changed to a sports store, after looking up the address on google maps.

The address of the owners seems to be in a retirement community. The street also seems to have changed names over the years. It is 2089 W. Santiam Dr. Woodburn Oregon 97071. The street is now columbia Dr.

I looked up the owners, and came up with an obit for Marguerite, and also one for Marvin. As stated the car was bought on jan 22 1975, and Marvin seemed to have passed away in may of 1976. Marguerite moved to portland afterwards, and passed away on november 3rd 2001

As stated in the obit, she is survived by her 3 daughters. I looked up one of them, and she lives in Ann Arbor MI! Where I bought the car!! Though she never knew of the car being there.

I shot her an email this afternoon, and she responded. She is in fact their daughter. I'm hoping to hear back from her tomarrow. Gave her my phone #.

I'm trying to piece the puzzle together.. The genlteman I bought the car from said he used to work on it for the guy that owned the car. Told him if he ever wanted to sell it he wanted first dibs. Well he ended up buying the car, and brining it with him, when he moved to ann arbor MI. Then I bought it from him in 2006. I'm wondering when Marguerite sold the car, or if it was sold at the estate sale. Or if she met a new man, and that is the guy the gentleman I bought the car from is talking about?? I don't believe Enid (her daughter) is going to know much, if anything about it because they had her in OH, way before they moved to Oregon. So I'm thinking Enid moved up to MI, before/after the parents moved to Oregon... Idk.. Thought this was cool as hell though. Also what a small world for the car to end up back in the same town as her daughter lives in, accross the country, without the daughter even knowing..

Wowzers! I just spent $120.80 on oil and filter for an oil change I have to do it myself! WTF!

pretty cool that you guys have so much of the original paperwork and paper trail. I have next to nothing on mine.

That awesome! I love hearing these types of story about cars that retain their history.

My Fury has it's paper work;

That is great Zack. It's interesting to look through that stuff, my Imp came with a short stack of it too. A log was kept in the owners manual of mine.

It's way cool when you have a complete paper trail on your car. I have all the original paperwork on my car too. The original owner (a lady from NY) bought it new from a Chrysler Dealer in Brooklyn New York sometime in 1970. After she passed away I became the second owner.

Has always been a strong concern to investigate a car's history and had a few most rewarding memories. One owner I once paid a visit at his home on the way to a car show in his area insisted to give me some gas money for this gesture, he was around 70 back then and close to tears despite being no actual car guy.

Bought another car 12 years ago from the 23 year long first owner which was very well kept but after all the years of daily driving in need of an extensive body resto he couldn't handle. He gave me first right to buy it and stuck to his promise 6 years later. I knew this car from new when I was in primary school and he a 24 year old dealership mechanic; it was sort of well known in our smalltown due to its special modified appearance.
Despite doing all by myself except for paint this resto cost me a lot on NOS and paint and I did it 50 % to see the face of the first owner being reunited with this car in the condition it was around 1979. He gave me the original license plates to re-register that he actually wanted to keep them when he saw the car again in 2007 after the resto.
I'm planning on giving it to him next year for a weekend on his 60th birthday.

Nice research work Zac!

I have and use the original keys of my NY'er. The ignition key is totally devoid of any hint of chrome. When I replaced the seats I found another original ignition key under the seats. I haven't had any luck finding any owner history of my NY'er. The lot lizard said there wasn't any historical records but was adamant that it was an estate car. Of course the lot is long gone now!
