I did sell my Newport....to a nice German Collector. $5K. I had much more invested, but I don't regret a second of my time or money spent with her. She will be well taken care of, I am sure. Plus I am moving to France, so I plan to visit her. He reports that she is stunning. She passed with flying colors the German technical check....very unusual for an American car he says....only fault was a small hole in the exhaust near the exhaust tip. Alas, I will miss my forum exchanges with you guys. You were very nice to put up with all my questions, and Javier even gave her some of his time. So kind! Thank you all, and until my next C body, Happy New Year.
Where in France???? I may want to visit.... hint hint.

Missed this one.
The last C body Chrysler built in Canada rolled off the Windsor line in June, 1966. Starting with the 1967 models and through to the end of the C body production in 1978 all C body Chryslers sold in Canada were built in the U.S. - on the same lines used to build cars for the U.S.
Although the plant letter in the VIN was derived from the first letter of the U.S. city building the car, the Canadian plant used the last letter. Thus the 7th digit in the VIN for the Windsor plant is R.

The car is now for sale in Germany. A car/bike dealer wants 20K for it. 1977 Chrysler Newport 2 door Coupé
And to think I was 200kms away from it and $1000 underbid and it would have been parked here instead back before Clancy outbid me lol

I thought the gentleman who bought it bought it to keep it. Silly me. Be interesting to see what he gets for her. I miss her, and hope she lands in a good home. Good luck finding mechanics that can work on the AC system should it need repair. Also, a correction--I meticulously maintained her but the PO hardly did anything.

But seriously, last year I was also looking for a good place to sell my Chevrolet and found a lot of online stores. I doubted them because the reviews were not the best. Fortunately, my friend was already involved in the sale and recommended me a good website about vehicle removal service. I even managed to raise the price by a thousand dollars more than the cost of my car. This is very convenient, so I recommend contacting here if you are still looking for a place to sell your favorite car
