tires

I've had really good luck with cooper tires (and I know many other people who have as well).

I have found that Cooper has the best availability and the best price for that specific size.

I will put those on next go around....

At that price point, I expect that will be one of the tires that Cooper now makes in China.

I was running some weird Indonesian brand on my Mercury (215-70R15), and they were actually some of the best tires I've tun in a 15" size.

I've also had US-made Goodyears self-destruct with less than a thousand miles, too.

I hate to say it, but it probably doesn't make a helluva lot of difference where the tires are made anymore.

I just bought a set of Michelin P265/70R18's for my truck a week ago. Excellent tires that are made in Lexington, South Carolina.

All we are doing in the USA is consuming......we aren't making or building very much of anything these days.

And another American company is being outsourced........
And another
And another
And another
And another

BTW - American poultry producers are now sending their chicken to China for PROCESSING and then being brought back here. WTF

And that would be why we have stopped buying meat from the big chain supermarkets and buy from local farmers instead. A couple bucks more, but it tastes like the beef and chicken I used to eat when I was a kid. Our eggs come from the little chicken coop in the back yard and a lot of veggies from the garden.

I don't know when it became OK to get our food from the same country that says "smog is good for you", but we've seen it coming.

Aren't there some Southern states that still have squirrels on their gourmet list ?

My girlfriend would never prepare one for me anyways. :)
