tires

I don't know when it became OK to get our food from the same country that says "smog is good for you", but we've seen it coming.

I think I'll skip dinner for today.

You rekindled an almost dead brain cell when you said that. I remember reading something about that a looooong time ago.

Didn't mean to wake the dead. It's something I learned from a now deceased engineer friend of mine from Chrysler. In my case it was a good thing he told me that a long time ago. My long term memory is fine. My short term memory isn't worth a crap.

SPEAKING OF TIREZ. I reluctantly settled for American Clasic for the Batwagon last July.(the picture showed them as being 1 1/4" wide whites on the 'puter) I had to have them shipped from Summit in Ohio to Philadelphia 'cuz that's where the beast spent the winter. And I'm not happy! Those A/Cs from Summit have an almost 3" wide white and I find it out 12 hours before leaving Philly for Carlisle and they've been driven on 'bout 40 milez! Not whining just Pi**ed at a local tire shop. After Carlisle I had a need to visit said shop on another mission and re-checked with them on 1"ww's that they said did not exist a month before Carlisle. Clyde punches his computer and comes up with a TOYO EXTENSA A/S 235/75/15 1" WIDE WHITE FOR $100 + $20 FOR MOUNTING AND BALANCING. Beautiful tire, beutiful tread pattern AAARRRGGGHHHH With the research I did I'm now convinced that aside from the Cooper this is the only 15" 1" WIDE WHITE ON THE PLANET! Anybody need a set of 15"X 3" WIDE WHITE American Classics with 500 milez on 'um? FYI, Those hit the visa for $698 + another $80 to mount and balance and shipping waz free, woopie!
