Yes, the battery died before I had gone through even a half of the place... This happened over a month ago, in the biggest meeting in Finland, Pick-Nick of Forssa.

Lots of Slabs, Fusies, even Formals! And Forward Looks, of course. Some cars were in show condition, others not so much - and I loved them all!

I wanted to post this sooner, but didn't have enough time to do it. I have a flu now, so I have time to rest - and post some pics.

First something for you, Formal guys, just because you don't see your favorite cars too often. As said, there were more but my battery died too soon. Next year, new battery or new camera! Or no pics other than of mopars...

And finally, some beautiful mopar fins... And my New Year's promise: I'll buy a better camera, learn to use it, and - most important of all - remember to charge the battery!

WOW !! Thanks for posting these pictures. That meet looks like its as good as our Carlisle meet. Gorgeous cars.

Thanks for sharing. I had the same thing happen. Took so many pictures it killed my good camera battery then started taking with my phone and killed it

Saaaweeeeeet!

Over the last 10 years, I have sold almost 30 cars out of my collection to the fine folks in Finland. I have yet to have a bad experience with a single one of them. Most of the guys I sell to are hard working farmers who love their cars and are very quick to do nice restorations of them nearly every time. I help them get parts to put in their cars when they ship (and for their friends too) to help with their restorations. They always show much appreciation of my efforts, pay on time and even give me some bonuses for the extra help I give them that I do not ask for. And they keep me updated with their progress in restorations and send me photos of their meets and cruise ins. They love the old U.S. culture and show much pride in their cars. They all seem to help each other a great deal too. I never have to advertise what I have for sale either, as they just spread the word when I have something to sell and it usually goes quickly. It reminds me of how the U.S. used to be some 30 - 40 years ago. And I have had the same experiences with the cars that have gone to Germany - always a rewarding experience with very fine, appreciative people. I am finally getting down in the number of cars that I have left to sell, so that I will probably taper off the selling efforts. But all I can say is that I am glad I collected so many C bodies over the years as an out of control passion, as so many in Finland now cherish them so much and enjoy them enormously. Bravo to you guys!

Thank you for your kind words, saforwardlook. If you should ever happen to get a hint of a nice, complete '70 New Yorker Coupe, hit me with a PM. Will you, please?

We Finns thank you for your kind words, everybody. Lot's of C-body love here. Our roots are in sedans and wagons and it still shows, I guess. Before 80's we had almost none 2-door hardtops/convertibles (NA made).

Hey Will, here's a couple of camper pics for you from the same date. No mopars in front of them, though...

I have not forgotten! But I keep seeing 1971 New Yorkers, and seldom even see a 1970 New Yorker coupe. Not sure why? Still keeping your request in mind though.:)
