Maid of the Mist, Niagara Falls

View attachment 110778

Rainbow and all. thanks.. and that reminds me.

in 1999 or so, I took a contingent of international businessmen to Niagara Falls. We did the Maid of the Mist AND the Cave of the Winds.

One guy had a great camera (it had a "hood" .. wrong term but thats what it looked like) and got the clearest (35mm on film) photos WITHOUT the water droplets blurring the lens. I gotta try to find and scan them.

Anyway no better way to experience the awesome power of the Falls -- up close and personal like. Tons of videos on it on YouTube .. but the sights and sounds are magnificent, if you're into that kinda thing :)

300rag, you (and others) keep comin' up with the best stuff. Maybe some new folks will step up too .. give this thread some more life :)

TO folks who havent posted yet, check back to Post #1 for the "Rules"

A "cool" pic YOU personally took (or a family member.friend who was with you at the time) of a scene (other than a car, BUT could be a car if you thought the background was "cool").

Flip through a few pages of this thread and you'll see TONS of spectacular stuff the members caught.

Thanks again to everyone who has (will) participated.:thankyou:

From a recent trip, first leg took me up the Eastern Sierras where I made a stop at Bodie ghost town.

Another landmark in New Mexico, Trinity Site is located inside the boundary of White Sands Missile Range. Access for the public is limited to one or two days per year. This marker is just outside the Stallion Gate entrance to WSMR. Although not the exact spot where Trinity is located, it isn't very far from here and this is the only access point from the North.

One of the last "frontiers" in America -- New Mexico -- I haven't been on an extended basis (business trip to Albuquerque, I-40 driving through to Phoenix) where I caught some pics along old Rte 66).

This site too is one I wanna see. :)

Just outside of Albuquerque on old route 66........the Unser compound.

House is inside the "Unserville" gate, a large garage is closer to the road. Wonder what kind of old race cars and memorabilia are stored inside?? I'll bet it is full of incredible race cars...note the security cameras all around!
