Took a cool pic?

Oh, your the one with THAT Car... I absolutely dig the look of that :D

hmm.. I have something called Picture Style where you can mess with it in the Camera. I have it set to Monochrome with a red filter effect and sepia toning.

thx on the car...most folks like it. others not so much. but thats all part of the hobby I guess. :)

my real camera (a Canon-brand) has a "Colors" setting that includes B&W, Sepia, and RYG filters. i think my phone is unsophisticated as to color options but takes decent quality shots.

I will try to see how the color features work with my Canon in a few months when the cars come out to play for the spring/summer.

thx again.

I got into HO trains a few years ago, built this setup in about 3 months, kept it about 6 more then sold it in pieces, even had a working Drive-In theatre...stupid me....

These was taken near Incline Village, and on the south side of Lake Tahoe, in 2009. The snow pic was at the edgeof my pasture in the snowstorm we had Christmas Eve 2012.

Last experiment.

"True" Color Shot, and then two B&W Shots A and B. One B&W is actually shot in B&W and one is a "photo-shop" of the original true color shot.

Any differences? Answer as to which is which is below the pictures

Color.jpgB&W Shot A.jpgB&W Shot B.jpg

The middle photo is "shopped"...the bottom photo is shot in B&W.

They look the same to me, other than minor differences because the "photographer" was unsteady - a dead giveaway if you looked real close.:icon_redface:

All these plane pics where taken at Wings Over Houston Airshow Oct 2010. I ran up to the lead pilot of the AF Thunderbirds, and told him how cool it would be if we could get our Firebirds & Thunderbirds together for some pics...odds were vey slim that was going to happen, but the pilot liked us and pulled it off. The Colonel running the show was even shocked we got away with it, was a very cool event that day.

The first picture at the Normandy Cemetery was the Burial location of the seven tank crews of the 28 in the 747th Tank Destroyer battalion, landing late D day June 6th 1944, that didn't make it. my uncle was a tank commander, and a part of that battalion landing that day, and survived to be 85 years old. The Army made every effort to bury units together. The last picture is in lyon, SS headquarters 40-1944. it was also the location where the French resistance was executed, in public. Visiting there was quite an eye opening experience.

Mt Rushmore Fall 2006.

Didnt spend nearly enough time in the area (BlackHills/Badlands)...flew in/out Rapid City and stayed on main roads, saw Rushmore and split :icon_sad:

magnificant geology, interesting/sad history of US versus the Native tribes.
