Well I dropped the valve body, found no detached struts or parts, and loosened the low reverse band adjustment and had to take a claw hammer to pry down the lever and the piston suddenly snapped back up in place. I've looked carefully and the strut is in place and don't see anything out of place. I turned the adjuster and took up the slack and notice there are definatly less threads showing than in the picture I took. I took compressed air and actuated the servo and everything looks right.
I guess I will have to buy an inch pound torque wrench to get the 72 inch pounds and back off 2 full turns and see how it works? I can only speculate that the low reverse band was adjusted to loose which allowed the servo to come down too far and stick at that weird angle?
