Trunk lid letters….

Just wondering why some 67 Monacos & Polaras have Dodge spelt out on trunk lid and others have MONACO or POLARA?Any body know the answer?Thanks

I could find no reference to Polara being on the trunk in 67, just the quarter panel.

DL = Dodge
DM = Dodge
DH = Monaco

It's been my observation, which could be totally wrong, that only Monaco 500's in '67 had "MONACO" spelled out on the trunk. And in addition the lower edge of the trunk chrome edge trim was extended under the letters, whereas all other Monaco's and Polara's just had "DODGE" spelled out, with the chrome edge not present under the letters.
