3D printing has it's limitations and I'd say since this is spring loaded, it would be tough to get the 3D printed part to stand up.3D printing is probably the way to go. I don't have one, but there are many crafty people out there that would know what to do. I myself would experiment with making one out of a hardwood dowel perhaps? Even if it is temporary until one is found. Necessity is the Mother of invention.
Super easy part to make on a regular manual lathe. No fancy CNC needed. Hardest part is grinding the radius on the cutting tool.
