Larry grew up in Southern California and was involved in the early days of the desert hot rod time trial racing.

He studied design and went to work in the GM design studios in the late 50's. He was largely responsible for the Corvette split window design and later, while working at FoMoCo designed most of the graphics for the Mustangs & Torinos including the Boss 302 and 429, Mach I and cobra jet Mustangs.

I got to know him in the early 90's. He had his own grafic/design consulting business and I worked with him on a few projects.
We even attended a couple of SCCA meets, Mid Ohio and Charlotte together. Above all else Larry was a car guy ..... couldn't get enough.

He became ill and passed away sometime in the later 90's.

He once also had a speed record standing in Bonneville afaik with a modified ´'29 Ford in the early 50s.
At least one of his old rods is still around, not sure which, there were at least two named Chopstick Special. His daughter still has some car related business called Team Shinoda.

Like to have those headlights on my truck then icould fix all these d.h. drive around with high beams on because they have blue lights in or just highbeams in general. lights that big with some paint melting power the world would be a better place. Aztek is the ugliest period how the hell do you get past the outside to get in and even see the dash. Will you are correct most of the ugliest cars have been made in the last 10 years but definitely moving to 15 years which is sad.
