Yes that is what I meant by molded. I've heard they are reproduced for A and B body just not C Body. Thanks for the response.

I can tell you that the fit and fastener hole alignment was perfect, and was otherwise identical to the very filthy and frayed OEM item. As I mentioned, the area is completely flat so I don't see the need for a shaped, molded unit.
