That's Shirley Muldowny, first lady of drag racing. I got to spend a day with her and her crew once at Detroit Dragway. Even road the chase vehicle down the track.
She really is a great lady.

Not quite a funny car yet. A/FX altered wheelbase, predecessor to the funny car.
These cars are mostly responsible for the name "funny car" just based on how they appeared. (Sure is a funny car).
