I can't tell if it just the slight difference in perspective but is the windshield layed back and the top chopped? The quarter windows look enough different.

The #40 Superbird is Pete Hamilton. The #43 Superbird is Richard Petty. The #22 Daytona is Bobby Allison. Can't make out the other wing car. Notice the towel the drivers have over their face to keep the grit & tire dust out

Daytona 1971. The Aero Warrior cars where ruled obsolete. The Ford teams had to revert back to a 68 Torino/Cyclone untill the new 71

car was ready

Is the rear quarter a bit more "tucked under" in the bottom picture?

did chrysler do the chassis slope angle thing that was done to the winged cars and the charger 500 . gave rake to the car by lowing the body on the chassis a few degrees on the noise .

Bodies in white. Many where built by PE. Some like the 49 Magnum I posted earlier where older B body cars that kept being updated
