I find it quite amazing how trashless all the city pictures are. A few things here and there but those are some clean streets.
Especially Oregon and Pittsburgh. What a difference from today.
No pride in peoples own personal space any longer.

New York City, 1970, WTC under construction. View looking easterly from something flying over the Hudson River. Brooklyn Bridge over East River upper mid-left. lower foreground before they reclaimed even more land (moving left, or north) along the Hudson.

My how things have changed in 50 years, Below, 1954 vs 2004, side by side photos. Red circle is roughly the WTC site.

1920s, Vienna Austria.

View from the scenic road ( the "Wiener Höhenstraße") over looking the church on the tallest hill (called "Leopoldsberg"} outside Vienna (city and Danube River at the bottom of the hill).

This church survived bombing of WWII. I have an old man's recollection of being shown this/similar view of this church when I lived/worked in Europe in the 1990's.
