Thanks!! One Question....

Thanks - I called and texted this guy today. Looking forward to talking with him. The car looks good.

One question - my dad had window cranks - how difficult is it to convert to cranks? Will I be able to disassemble the door panels and redo them (saving the wicker and hopefully not ruin the chrome trim) to accommodate the cranks or do I have to find new panels (a really difficult thing to do) - Let me know how big an issue this is for a restorer to do? Your thoughts are appreciated....

This car looks good - One question though...

This is a nice find - I missed this in my own google searches. My dad had the crank windows. how hard is it to convert this car to cranks? Will the door panels be a problem or can they be disassembled and the wicker saved while adding new leather to accommodate the crank hardware? Otherwise this is what I was looking for - I simply don't know enough about restoration to know if this is a deal breaker and whether I should keep looking. I know the shops with NOS interiors never seem to carry this interior - it is fairly rare... Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!!

Converting from power to crank isn't that hard if you have all the parts although you might have to make a repair to the door panel around where the power switch goes. Personally I'd just leave it power windows but either way I wouldn't pass on this car unless you find a better one. These are getting hard to find and this one has a really nice straight solid body. I don't like your chances of finding a better one to start with unless you find one already restored.

If you pull the trigger, I will buy the back window blinds to help you defray part of the cost of buying the car.

If you decide not to buy this car Monacoman let me know. I just might take the two hour trip down to Tucson myself.
