Was just sideswiped

can't hold a collision that was unavoidable and not my fault

Suggest you ask for a copy of your Alberta Insurance report in a few months to make sure they dont register the accident under your drivers license. I have had several customers complain about insurance hikes even though they made no claim. Just telling the insurance company was enough for them to add it to your history on the Provincial side so any insurance company can see it in the future.

Stan you got out before the smart phone took over. I will now take any aggressive driver, motorcyclist any type, or people in classic cars over everybody else just because those 3 are probably not tweeting or posting to face book.
Sorry Dave, the local thing is to drive with your head buried in the phone... and then look up and "defend" your position in traffic when we start passing you. I have been known to inform" with my turn signal and come over while they try to catch up... without fail they see that as a first strike and drive like a lunatic for the next light or two... until the phone buzzes again.

When I was driving my grandfather's Rambler when I was 15½, I distinctly remember thinking back then how easy this driving stuff was. Felt natural. I'd get in the back seat of the Driver's Ed Falcon with three other students, and those other kids scared the crap out of me.
Its been that way ever since.

Can't count the number of times I have had the horn blown at me and a finger because they almost drove under my trailer as I pass them on the right because of their face is buried in the phone weaving to the right trying to stay off the jersey barrier on their left.

To answer some questions, they didn't issue a ticket on the spot, but said once the report was completed she would probably get a hit and run or careless driving. I of course called my insurance company, they can't hold a collision that was unavoidable and not my fault against me. I only carry PL/PD so it may take a while and I may have to get a couple of quotes but ultimately her insurance company will write me a cheque and it will probably be around the initial purchase price of the car. Thanks for the compliments on the wheels, they're 85 fifth ave 15 x 7's with 235R75's I'll post some pics of her in better times in the future under this thread.
And great story Fury440, luckily I have never had a bad insurance expirience.
I hope everything works out for you. Thanks for giving us a update

I had only two other kids and it was a Rambler. The one guy didn't bother me. He had been driving for a while. BTW, his brother went on to star in "Queer eye for the straight guy", but that has no bearing on anything. The black girl that was in the car... crap... She'd never driven before. She scared me... and everyone else in the car, including the teacher. She put the Rambler on top of a snow bank about the third time behind the wheel. She dropped out of school a couple weeks later.
