Was Passenger Side Mirror an Option on 1965 Fury?

Thanks for these pics. Always wondered what the Mopar remote looked like, since I was familiar with the Ford product. Have you seen any of these for sale I might be able to restore and install in my Fury?

A repop outside mirror for a 68 Roadrunner (easiest search) is about the same as far as I know. The difference is the inside control. I'm not sure what year that got changed, but IMHO, there's no reason why it wouldn't work. The inside control would have a slightly different appearance though. It's smaller in diameter and you don't take it apart it to put it in the door.

I have both style inside controls here and I'll take a "side by side" comparison pic later tonight or tomorrow.

The right side, non remote, matching mirror is also available as a reproduction.

Thanks for these references. Plenty of vendors advertise for "66 and up A & B bodies." What separates the A and B bodies' mirrors from the C bodies" mirrors? Anything? And what changed in 1966 from 1965?

I am tempted to bite and buy a left side remote for my 1965 Fury. Can't be too much difference. I am not bothered by any small difference in the interior trim bezel.

I think that the difference is the inside controls. I know they changed somewhere around 66 or 67... My 65 Barracuda and the 65 Chrysler mirror I bought for parts, have the larger control. I think we may have figured this out on another thread, but I don't recall.

Larger '65 control versus the smaller (this happens to be a '70) control. The larger style has to be disassembled to install in the door. I've never had the smaller version apart.

66 still has the larger controls as well. I had to take mine apart to get it out.

So the mirror itself is the same size A,B and C bodies, and 65-66?

Never took the big "toggle" apart, so no idea on that. Small toggle is easy.

Yes, same across the board A, B, and C

Never bought one of these remote repops, but I did buy a non-remote repop for another car and that was good quality.

Perhaps someone else can add to this.

That mirror will fit just about everything except the Imperial in the mid sixties.
