I have a leak on the front of my 66 Yorker, twice I have had it in the shop and the could not locate the source. Is it possible that the windshield channel is rusted through? Is this a common problem? The water is dripping down onto the back of my glove bow, would appreciate the advice of some of the experts here....thank you.

It could be a bad front windshield seal as well. Maybe have a glass shop remove and re-install the front windshield, make sure they put sealant inside the rubber seal before it goes onto the body....just a little extra insurance on water protection.

Seems to be a common problem both my '66's leak on the passenger side in heavy rain keep them covered now

First rule when looking for water leaks, is the water coming in clean or dirty? If it is clean the water is coming in from above, if it is dirty it is coming in from below. A good trick to find them is to seal the car real good, turn the defrosters on high, and spray the car with soapy water, (just like a tire), when it bubbles, you have your leak.

Sorry for my delay and response...busy since coming home from holidays. I ordered a new windshield gasket and am going to get it installed ...it may very well be rusted out in the windshield channel ..can't tell till they pull the glass out anyway...really hope this solves the problem for me ...as I want to concentrate on the motor rebuild.... very wet here on the coast ...always but this year in particular likely had 70 inches of rain this winter...thanks for you input on this man.

Maybe it is the heater valve on the passenger side. Sit inside the firewall and my one leaks so the passenger floor panel is rusty...also the heater core has a leak :(
Better take a look..
