Way Off Topic - How to Take a Tree Down

Very impressive but I've taken enough trees down to know that was not only incredibly dangerous and foolish but extremely lucky. Should have taken it down in pieces.

It looks like hes taken down a few more than you

Sometimes you do what you gotta do

True sighn of a Profesional is one who eliminates risks first....as stated he should pieced it down to eliminate any risks....
That tree butt coulda kicked out in any direction causing a great deal of damage....he's what l would consider a shoemaker....

I dont think so, not the way he cut it. Hes good at his craft much like I presume you are

My luck, it would've bounced off the house, killed the shed, came BACK up in the air, killed me and the truck parked behind me!

My guess is that the new owners of the property who were planning on tearing down the existing structures so that they can build their McMansion hired these two yahoos to do some clearing. Pretty damned impressive work though.
Not your average chainsaw either, that thing sounds badass!

That wasn't his first rodeo! He made it look easy as any professional would do, and fun too. That guy knew exactly what he was doing kudos to him!

Skilled he may be but it was a unnessary risk..

I'm strictly an amateur with a chainsaw, but have felled a few trees. As good as this guy may be, I can see no reason for the risks he took. and the helper wandering around alone gives me reason to question what his thought process was.
The FIRST thing I would do is clear the area and look for my escape route, a soft (or hard) spot in the trunk or a gust of wind could have changed his outcome very easily on this one. I also would not have thought it worth the risk, and pieced it down.
