Well I'm bored...(speakers)

Thanks again! I ended up installing the Infinity 2 way 6x9's in the rear deck and a pair of Rockford Fosgate 3 1/2" 2-ways under the stock front speaker grill. Also installed a Pioneer MG-5400 for the Infinity's. Got it all hooked up and fired it up and to be honest, it sounded like **** no matter what I adjusted on the head unit, but I have to say those Rockford Fosgates are extremely loud and really clear. So after messing with it for a few hours to get it to sound right and failed,...I removed the Pioneer amp and replaced it with a Old School amp I had that is in near mint condition. It is a ADS Power Plate 80. I installed it and what a difference. It is like night and day. It has so much more punch and low end now AND it also made the system sound much clearer/cleaner. I have no idea why the big difference between the 2 amps. Weird...??. Here is a picture of the ADS amp, Rockfords and the Pioneer amp.

Will this be ok to do? Like to add a small enclosed self powered sub.

You'd need an RCA Y adapter then to an RCA to 3.5mm. But you'll end up with signal loss/degradation. If your amp doesn't have passthrough RCAs you'd be better off using a line driver to boost signal OR you could use an EQ to get multiple outs.

Something simple like this;

Line driver;
