Well I have plenty of time before I end up finalizing the tires & rims that will be on it, I figure several day, weeks of photo shopping after the car is painted then I will get a better feel for exactly what I want and see what everyone else likes or dislikes. The best thing is I have options !!! and options are good !!!! :eek:ccasion14:

Thats true .... !
When I started working on my 69 300 I intended to use the original wheelcovers due to the fact that the "correct" road wheel for 69 was the "recall" wheel, and almost impossible to find. The reproductions come in at around $2500. for a set of four

After seeing a few Cbody's with the later, (70-74) road wheels I fell in love.... the perfect look. I was able to locate and restore 5 complete wheels for less then $150.00. Added a set of whitewalls and it was back to the 70's.

We're ramping up for the trip. We'll leave here next Tue morning and arrive at Daytona early Wed morning. Really looking forward to it.

Of course I'm taking the NYB. I'm plotting gas stations along the route and breaking out the French Shriners as we speak.

I had an almost perfect set of those exact wheels with the exception of one dinged trim ring and one broken center cap, That along with my 70 Sport Fury loaded car is like my 69 Vert "MISSING" :cussing: and it totally kills me how valuable all the parts of my missing parts car is worth in terms of time money & effort. The car was loaded with almost every Sport Fury option available RRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr................
 
One more day until my new C-Body gets picked up for delivery !!!! :icon_super:


And if all goes well I should finally see & drive it Monday !!!! :3gears:

Well so much for dependable shipping !!!! :soapbox: I contracted Montway Auto Transport to deliver the car, they promised to pick up the car on Friday morning and here it is Saturday night / Sunday morning and they still have not picked up the car as scheduled which is pissing off me as well as the seller of the Sport Fury. As of now I still have no information from them as to just what is going on. They promised deliver to me on Monday November 25th and at this point it does not look like they are going to get the delivery as promised. :violent1:
 
Yeah, I've played that game for weeks, unfortunately.
