WHAT ? Another 61 Fury restroation......

I found and bought a 61 parts car out of western Kansas. It has all the dry and solid sheet metal I need for Virgil's rusty body. It's on the truck on its way to Bama now and will really speed up the body restoration process.
The cost of the car and transportation will be way below the cost of repairing the original sheet metal.
Should anyone need parts, everything but the metal I need is available. It's a 318 and powerflight,4 door with all good tinted glass

Virgil loaded for the move to the shop for his body restoration. hopefully next week if the rain holds off. The parts car is already at the shop.
I dropped a tote full of parts at the powder coater yesterday.

The demands placed on me for the past year and a half did not leave much time for Virgil. The body guy became overwhelmed and work stalled, (probably a blessing). Although there were several parts and services done in that time, very little physical work was performed.
The body and paint will be the most challenging and costly aspect of the restoration. With the purchase of the parts car everything needed is in place. It, and a lot of cutting, aligning and welding should provide the results I'm hoping for.

Then...... The fun starts.

It will be ready for Carlisle Bob...... Not this year though.
