I have a bunch of 15 inchers for my b-body but what is available for our c bodies? I don't want modern blades just the refills...well if possible.

I got mine from the local Bumper to Bumper store. They have a source for vintage replacement blades. The brand escapes me tonite. I'll check with them in the morning and report back.

If you have any O'Reilly auto store, they have them in my home town, but they were behind the counter. They were Anco too.

I haven't changed my blades in over 25 years, of course I don't drive it when it's expected to rain. 20+ years in a desert like environment also helps not needing wipers very often.

Last time I turned on the Monaco’s wipers they disintegrated. I drove it home in a monsoon with no wipers. I survived.

I buy the new refills ,then just take the rubber out of them and install it in the old blade. A little tedious but refills are only a few bucks verses the whole blade.

Carquest had the refills the next day (in the wrong size) take your old ones with you and never trust a smiling counter guy... also refills are the way to go that new black plastic frame looks awful.

Especially if you have chrome arms!

Couldn't agree more! Here's my Imperial wearing terrible Pep boys inserts on the factory stainless arms...bloody awful! I bought a set if Imperial factory stainless wipers from Detmatt...and the change is incredible.

I'll add that this equally applies to hidden wiper cars too like Formals. The new replacement wipers are too tall and don't permit the wipers to park because they interfere with the hood.

So keep the factory stuff and replace the rubber blades is the way to go.

I just got a set of factory wiper arms because I too had later plastic replacement blades, it looked like crap. So much better looking with the stock setup.

Hello everyone, i have a 1969 sport fury conv, and came with the best of both worlds on my wiper blades, I used the factory frame with a 20" modern wiper blade. I took the blade out of the 20" modern frame and put it my 69 frame and cut off the excess with a high speed cut of wheel and solved my problem.

Thanks for the help so far guys. I haven't found exactly what I was after yet. My car has the Anco type blades on it now...which I like. The only blades refills I have found locally are plastic...not sure how well those are going to slide in, Anyway I would like to find a set of refills with the metal holding the blade. I will search ebay tonight.

The ones on the car are falling apart and I don't want the windshield to get scratched up.

I had to “tune up” my stainless blade holders. They were a little loose and sloppy. I had to do a little pliers work to crimp the joints a little tighter. Seem to work fine now.
