Hoping to get some of ya'lls thoughts.

Theres no beating around the bush. The paint on the old cordoba is trash. Its light, chalky, hazy, worn, and overall a crappy old paint job. It had a macco special years ago, as evident from all the crappy over spray, and bad masking job.

I can get her looking good after hours of buffing, waxing, ect... But as soon as it rains its over lol.

I'm thinking of throwing a paint job at her here in the next couple months. Shes the wonderfull 70's green we all know and love .

I'm 90% sure I'll paint her green again to keep original. But... That itch is there to change it.

I'd love to lay on some burnt orange! The problem comes with the interior (matching green).

What color would go with a green interior? I'm not changing interior color. Already installed a new carpet, and have other green pieces to replace.

I saw the black 300 with green interior posted in the for sale ads the other day, and just can't see going that route. White is also out of the loop too. Not feeling it.

What do you guys think?

With the exception of the white paint on the hood, I like the look of your Cordoba. I actually like that shade of green. I think painting it black or white are your only options to answer your question.

nothing wrong with green if you do it up right...my old 97gmc...never shoulda sold it but liked the green...just hada do it up right
ugly green

not so ugly green

would keep the green and try to work with it

I've always been partial to the deep dark green like in this NYB

Yea, I think your right. Black looks great on these cars! But being this is the daily beater, and sits outside 24/7, I don't want the up keep that comes with black. Also being in FL, I would just melt to death in the summer.

The white on the hood has grown on me. Not enough to return on a new paint job though lol.

I do like the green. They added a bit more metalic in it when it was repainted years ago, and it does look great when cleaned up.

Silver, you know, with a hint of green like the Admiral. Or you could match Bob's Newport.

Silver is another "meh" to me. Just doesn't pop enough IMO. No offence to Will! lol

Just have that childish itch for a high impact color. But I know none would really work for her with this interior.

Idk.. I'll take the current f7 forrest green sunfire on her over these ones. That is not a good look on that cordoba at all!

Theres always the ralley green high impact color used on the 69 RR's and Bee's. I don't much care for it, but it's green.

Hmmm.. You might have just turned me onto something. I kinda like it! Might work with the interior too.

Thanks Will!

If that has Maaco's crap paint on it, I would strip off every bit of it that I could find before spraying any type of new paint, primer, or sealer, on it.
I vote for going back green.

Your car looks good. Stick with original color, it matches the interior perfect. Lose the white.

The quarters need a little patching, along with a couple other small spots. Other then that, I'll just sand it down real good, and seal with new primer, then paint.

I've already got what feels like a life long project in the garage. This is just to pretty up the ol girl a little bit lol

Thanks! I think this will be the route.

Deep green, Hunter Green, Forest Green any green except the old Mopar greens.

YUCK!

Dark green lots of metalic

Metalic I can go for, darker green I'm out...

Thanks guys!!

I would favor an original green from that model year.

However, if you really want a change and want a color that does match with green, consider a pastel yellow. I've seen this combo fairly often on early 70s Mopars and I personally like it. Don't recall seeing much of it on mid-70s models, but I'd bet there were Cordoba's built in such combinations.
