What did you do to your C-body today....

Help me find some OE metal and I may take you up on that. Lol.. I’d make it worth your while. $$$$

Hard to find for your year?

The carpet is dark. Looks like they spilled oil on it-over and over. Previous owner(s) didn’t take care of the car.

Most of the dry cars I need for parts are out mid-west and further.. it’s a freak’en mint to ship, and no one wants to cut one up.. so I’m stuck at the moment on finding good metal..

No broadcast sheet :(

Glass under the seat. Looks like one of the rear windows was broken sometime.

Have been trying to order carpet from SMS. Haven’t heard from them to place my order for a week now. Nice website looking through all the swatches but ordering system is a big fail.
I just order through eBay, had it in 5 days, I think you need to go through a dealer

Ebay seems to have issues lately with USPS. My current order seems to be lost somewhere in Kansas for the last week. My mode railroad guys have been complaining about late delivery for about three weeks now.
My radio from G. Tayman and anything from Amazon still got delivered right on schedule.

That’s the plan. No holes like driver floor pan. I think I can clean it up ok.
Just a thought.. because I’ve considered it as well, once you’ve primed and painted it, use some roll on bedliner material to protect it from any further water/moisture damage. They sell kits at Home Creepo or the local auto parts store. Just my 2 cents..

Started staking my car hauler with scrap lumber I had, so I can haul my scrap...I have more lumber at home, but misjudged how much I was going to need.. I may still need to make two Trips anyway

Started stripping the M body shell for my sheet metal needs... Friend in FL wants what I don't need.

The coupe was in a collision early in life and they repaired it with dealer parts, so that's kind of a bonus for me.

SO! I got under my 77 today and swapped out the sway bar and links.

I also purchased sway bar bushings from my local parts store, and of course they’re not the right type. Does anybody know where I can score a set of new ones?

I wonder if a set from another style of vehicle would work, I saw a set for a jeep wrangler that might work. Any ideas? Thx

Also painted and mounted my front plate. The frame was crusty and needed it, so a good cleaning and fresh coat of satin black and Walla..

Took the Polara for a little drive for some take out Chinese. We have to support our favorite local joints during the Corona deal, if we want them to still be around when we come out of this crap.

You can use generic universal bushings and straps, just know the OD of your swap bar and the width/spacing of the bolt holes.
My parts guy ordered aftermarket ones, 7/8 diameter Bar.. I pick them up tomorrow.. all the OE replacements he had in his book were all the wrong style and size.. I’ll post pics and details once I have them.. thx for the info.

Went out to lovingly caress the Imperial, and put the registration renewal tab on the tag. Since yard work took precedence on Saturday, I mowed, and then trimmed, and swept the concrete areas.

I'm very interested in how this radio conversion turns out for you. I'm in the middle of doing the same thing with new speakers and the radio in my '66 conv. Do you have a reverb in your setup? I'm hoping I can get mine to work with the new radio, etc.
Did the conversion in both my cars and I can't say enough good about it. Mine is set up so I play from a thumb drive or I can use my XM radio. The Chrysler has the signal seeking radio and all that works as good as it ever did.

I did end up using Custom Autosound dual coil speakers in both my cars. I tried the Retro Sound speakers and had a major meltdown with one. Gary Tayman sells the Custom Autosound speakers. They sound better to me too, but that's objective and I have bad tinnitus in one ear so YMMV.

If you don't get it done by Carlisle, ask me to show you.
