Was talking to a friend about this who is looking for a new car soon. If you had to buy a new car right this second as a daily driver, what non-MOPAR and non-C body would you choose?

I think if I had a family and was on a budget, I could see myself in a clean Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. Affordable, built to last, roomy and with the bars out front can push all kinds of crap out of your way! LOL

If I had a higher budget, I think I could rock a Mercury Marauder.

Ford Fusion.

My needs for a daily driver outweigh my desires..... Gotta be real good on gas and comfortable.

My daily right now is a Chevy Impala company car that I refer to as "Vlad". Vlad the Impala does a lot of things right, comfortable heated seats, a good A/C system and gets 25MPG. I do about 40k miles a year, so comfort is real high on the list. I'd consider another, but I think the Ford would win out.

M Body Mopar. Stone Axe reliable 318/ Torqueflite and wonderful appointments. Here's a couple I've had over the years.

My daily has to be a truck and sorry, I ain't driving a Ford or a GM product.

I'm there with ya Detmatt, my Brother drove a Crown Vic as a cop car for years, and then the Sheriff's Dept went to the new Chargers. shortly after he then was in a major accident. The shift sergeant was told if John had been in the Ford, he would have been killed. I'll stick with a mopar.

A 1999 Ford F-250 diesel, it is as new as you can get is California and not have smog checks.

Well, my actual daily driver is a 2005 Sebring 4-door with a 2.4L DOHC and automatic. It's been a pretty good car.

I drove a 1970 Mercury full-size with a 351W/FMX auto as a daily driver for 17 years. In all of that time that car only left me stranded once. The little Starter Drive thingy disintegrated into a gazillion pieces of shrapnel inside my bellhousing. So, my starter was spinning, but couldn't crank my engine.

I guess I would choose a Crown Victoria or Grand Marquis, as I've always liked them. I might also choose an early 90's F-150 4x4. Although, since a daily driver is going to be pretty much disposable, especially here with the winter road salt, I guess I wouldn't really care too much what it was.

In the summer either the '79 New Yorker or '78 New Yorker St Regis Coupe or 2004 GTO. In the winter my '94 Lesabre.

I'd have a nod towards the 05-09 Mustang. Just a regular GT package. Probably an auto. However I see a Buick or something that rides & sits very good in my future as I hurt 24/7 with body aches now. I get to drive Mercedes & BMW's fairly regularly & the 'benze' E class, S500 & the BMW 5 series are super nice, but way too much money for me.

I would love to have either a Mopar Cop Car or a Long Roof ... when I have space for more vehicles then maybe.

Presently my DD is a 98 Durango we bought new. It's still pretty nice with 75K on it .. but I do need some replacement mopar running boards or brackets if anyone has some or could fab me some .. brackets that is.

So. . . I guess you really didn't mean a "NEW" car. You just meant "another car." Is that correct ?

Yeah I just meant new as in something you don't currently own. Try to make us think outside the box. Like the cars I posted for myself are so far removed from my current fleet its not even funny.

I would love to daily a classic, but its impossible year round here in STL. Any classic would quickly be turned to a rusted piece of swiss cheese and I couldn't do that. Plus for myself, I commute through heavy down town traffic at least three days a week (used to be every day but I work from home some days now).
