What to use to clean interior been sitting for a long long time

Absolutely only vinyl. Leather is much, much, harder to clean because if the product is really good at pulling out the grime, it's also sucking out the lanolin.

What and how would you recommend to clean leather?

I've used Meguiar's leather cleaner/conditioner on my new cars the last few years to clean the leather. I found a very soft bristle brush and use it with the stuff. Spray on, let it soak for a while, give it a good scrubbing with the brush, then wipe/buff with a terry towel. Amazed at the dirt that comes off onto the towel.

For fabric, headliners, and tough stain removal I like 2 products but I don't know if my favorite is still available. I used to love Simoniz "Dri-Clean" liquid. It came in a regular non-spray bottle and was the best stuff I ever saw in removing dirt/grease from fabrics, carpet, etc. But all I have found recently is a spray version by the same name which is nowhere near as good.

Here in Canada there is a Turtle Wax product line called "Ice" which is surprisingly good. I have the interior cleaner product which comes in a squeeze bottle and use ot on all the vinyl/plastic parts in the interior. Cleans well, leaves a nice sheen when finished.

As a kid we used carbon tet to clean just about everything. There's nothing you couldn't completely clean with it.
The damn brain damage, though........

By the way Scott, everytime I see pictures of your car..........don't sell it, you will cry.

How many times in anyone's life does your labor of love end up being in an eight page spread in a magazine AND the home page picture of a tech forum???

Scott...........don't sell it.........you'll regret it!!!!

You can always start a long term project (that'll need more work then you plan on) and keep your beauty too!

Thanks for the sentiments guys. I'm leaning more towards this way of thinking. One will have to go if I decide to get another project; I don't have room for 3 cars.

i use this with a soft tooth brush

Been there, done that. The cleaning, not the brain damage - or is that why I like cars that you have no choice but to be upside down in?

Now that doesn't sound bad. I would actually get to see it in person. I bet Ross would even give me a ride in it. I think he is serious and I remember him saying he has a new fondness for the 300 verts. It's the best c-body 300 I have seen.

Guys I appreciate your suggestion and even having a little bit of fun :)

I have had the car for 24-25 years and has been sitting for a long time. I lost my mom in 08 and it had been sitting in a horse barn for years. So I have decided just to get it running and drive it as it for a year or two then I will do a complete resto on it. I'm really going to need some insight as I dont know alot of people into c-bodies and very great full to have found a site like this and the people who are on it. I have had many mopars but I have and wont ever sell this 1970 300 vert. At the moment shes not perfect but my family and I enjoy it as is then make plans to build my dream 1970 300 vert that I have envisioned for 25 years.

So I need to post some more on suspension and stuff now LOL

Thank you al for your input and I will continute to appreciate all the input and help I can get.

Thank you,

Rob
