The 2018/ 19 flu season saw around 35,000 die. My friend was one. Most people who have health issues are more susceptible. What we must also remember we have a vaccine and meds for the flu, without them the rate of incidents would be higher. However many still dont take the vaccine, get sick and pass it to others.
The Corona virus has killed I think about 12,000 in this country so far. What some still refuse to believe and I honestly feel its political views behind this is that COVID 19 is more contagious, more deadly than the flu. Living were I do I know people who are sick with COVID 19. When I see a healthy 40 year old sick in bed, so weak after almost two weeks, I can attest to just how bad it is to come down with this virus.
What again some refuse to acknowledge is with 12000 dead, after we have literally shut down the country, what in Gods name would have happened if we didn't?
In just two months ago how many died from the virus in America?
Thats how contagious it is and. the facts are its spreading to more rural parts of the country.
Ive said this over and over, educate yourself, dont take for absolute truth any one media news outlet.
There are people in this country would have made it their lives work dealing with things like were going through now, see what they saw.
As i. type this my wife just told me another person we know is hospitalized with corona.
Hospitals are filled to capacity, staff are beyond exhausted.
My daughter in law works in finance for a hospital, they asked her to work as a transporter just to help out.
I live in NY people are dyeing at incredible rate, morgues are out of space and bodies are in refrigerated trucks. The dead cant be buried fast enough.
Now I heard the city wants to temporaliy bury the dead on Hart island.
Please be safe, dont downplay this virus or write it off as a flu.
