I'm considering buying it, am waiting on more pics/info from the owner.

Me like!

She is gorgous! I was second guesing re-painting my car white, but after seeing this. I like to! Hell Im even loving those road wheels with the white!

I'll let the experts take a go at the price. I'd say $12-14k

It looks clean...........what is the seller asking???

#2 condition around 12,400 while #1 jumps to 20K. Can't be a #1 but could be a strong #2 depending on the stuff I can't see. Of course, regional differences and the current real world can move it one way or the other.

Is this a test.....?

Nicely optioned, good looking car. Is it original or a repaint...?
I would guess $14500.00 to 19500.00 range asking.

Good looking car Mark, has everything you wantexcept its white and still that looks great...... He's asking $22,000. If it is as good as it looks fifteen is probably good

Looks like it's a get in and drive situation..............Mark, is this the one?

I talked to the car owner yesterday also he said "It is a good 10 footer". He also said the short block was replaced at 50k and the car now has 136,000 miles. It has a three feet long with rust holes area on the trunk floor pan where it meets the tail lights. It is because of the exhaust rotting the metal???? he said. It was also rusting under the convertible boot area. One again his strange comment was it was becasue of the "high torque of the motor". For the last two years there was one identical to this except a different color with ONLY 38000 original miles for 14k near Wisconsin Dells. I never personally seen the car and don't know what happened to it. In comparing both cars on the surface, the White 300 is still over priced by 3-5k. Remember, what ever picture you see or story you hear, seeing it in person will be worse. My 70 Fury III "Pursuit" never had the issues the guy describes any yes it has a 440. When I look at a car I try to take a friend that has "Old Car Knowledge". His job is to pick it apart and find thing I may have missed. They don't have to have specific knowledge of the exact car but good common sense. If you look at the car let me know if my instinct is correct.

Boy, you guys have to ruin everything, don't ya? :-(

Yes, it is 15K asking, looks like the same car that was for sale for 24K a month ago but i can't find the ad to compare it. This would be the right condition if it was as it looks, but with any rust it'd be a no-go @ that price.

I have no issues with the white paired up with that blue......good question is, if it was a texas car there should be min rust to begin with, but i'm not too keen on rust in any of those areas. And there is no way it is caused by the exhaust - if he did say that, then he is delusional.

Now if a polara rag optioned like that showed up, I prob wouldn't flinch.

Not at $22k...
That's absurd.

At $15K,
"10 footer" (he's far sighted)
"
short block was replaced at 50k"
"
136,000 miles"
"
three feet long with rust holes area on the trunk floor pan where it meets the tail lights"
Just as absurd.

Pete, you need to go easy on Mark, don't be so blunt when talking about "rusted areas". He will run away if the car parked next to it has rust....

The trunk floor in my 300 was rusted in the pan area primarilly due to a leak at the dutchman panel. It was confined to the flat pan and the area near the tail lighs was solid, still is. Long term Leaking exhaust gasses will rot metal but unlikely in that area... Maybe.

It's an old car..... metal pans rust, but are repairable. Structure is the critical area to look.

Yes. but the places listed as having rust are not good areas............and no reason at this point that the car should be getting worse, it should have been garaged for awhile and the rust at least stopped from getting worse. But instead, just sit there and let it rot away.......

This is still around, apparently the new owner is selling it:

http://palmbay.ebayclassifieds.com/...-300-convertible-highly-optioned/?ad=24583180

Funny, he lists the car as having rust repair awhile ago, the guy who listed it on this forum said it only had repair from accident damage.

The owner did state that the trunk rusted areas were "Pin Holes". I question his description when he attributes it to "Exhaust Fumes" and the area under the convert. rear window needing repair from the "Torque of the Engine". My Fury III had to repaired by the rear window glass channel. That leak ran down and caused a slight rust area above the rear wheel lip (near the center). My car was a Washington State Patrol car and the 300 was a Texas car. When I call on any car I start with a clean slate and see how knowledgeable the present owner is. IF everything else is as presented in photos and words (written and verbal) then is is worth 10-12k. He has owned it 20 years which is good. He should then be able to discuss ALL issues of the car......if not walk away.

I was under the assumption that it was a rust free, original drivetrain car with no problems at $12-15k.
