I'm looking at another Fury (To add to my fleet....Angel isn't going anywhere.....) it's a '73 Fury I 4 door Sedan, 318 car. Two owner car. Has been repainted once, has had the interior redone once. Current owner has had it for 12 years and has replaced the front Stub along the way with a rust free unit. Currently it needs brake and fuel lines and a lot of cosmetics, the drivetrain is numbers matching and hasn't been overhauled (atleast in the last 12 years)

I want to make a fair offer.

Nick

Run! Nick, if you buy that you'll never finish your vert, take my word for it.

I'd have to agree, but what is your intention? Fix and drive? I think ever since I got my "parts car", work slowed down on my vert, just because I want something vintage to drive, and driving the vert is still a few years out.

I like it. Could make a nice cop car clone. $800. Cheap fun, just don't get carried away in a ground up restoration.

Cheap fun is a BB in a car like that. A 318 makes it a DD till the wheels fall off then you get some useful parts.

That's what happened with my white convertible and it never got done

Yeah I know what you mean. I was restoring my 64 GTO convertible and got it to the point of needing an alignment. One problem, I needed to get my car trailer back. The problem was I let a friend borrow it. I went to get it, and it was trashed. Axles bent, the jack broke, etc. He hauled scrap metal with it, instead of moving around a few cars. I made him pay for the trailer, I was so mad. I never bought another trailer, and several years passed by, with the GTO still sitting. I sold the car a few days ago to my Brother when he caught me in the right (or wrong?)mood. I just can't seem to get to it....

+1

don't buy it. walk away.

and if you just HAVE to spend 800 bucks right now, buy something for your first car that you have been holdin off.

I agree. when you get a new one, it distracts a guy from the nicest one, it doesn't get done. I tell myself all the time:FOCUS
Sometimes I win.

I guess it all depends on the person, my drivers are so neglected right now because I'm fixated on my project.

For me I have never spent more than $1000 on a car I couldn't drive home.

I agree. My 300 needs alot of work and I allowed my self to get distracted by buying this Alliance. after about 7grand for the car and reapirs that could have gone along way to getting the body work and paint done on my convertable. In hindsight I wish I walked on the renault and finished the 300. However at least I drive the renault almost daily when the weather is nice so I get a ton of use out of it......

Same here. I'd walk away. I'm doing exactly what your looking to do, and now the blumo doesnt get barely any work. Too busy playing with the other one. Although it is nice having one you can enjoy while the other one is up.

$800 seems like a fair offer. Looks like she needs some love.

I'd like to just do whats necessary to drive this one. I'm tired of going to Mopar shows without my own wheels. My grandfather has said he would give me the cash to buy this one (as a graduation gift, he gave all the other grandkids cash for thier graduation's, I'm the youngest and the last), his exact words we're, I'd like to go to some shows with you grandson.

That's my reason. He's 90 now and I want him to get to see some seat time with me.

I'd like to do this one as a Cop car clone..........I've been collecting Cop parts and equipment for a few months now, as well as 440 parts....

Nick

I'll offer $1000 as the guy has a bunch of spare parts to go with the car....

Buy it then and have a great time with your grandfather. Just keep it running & driving and do the cloning thing once the vert is done - if that still feels like a good idea then.

I say go for it and enjoy!

Nick, I no what you mean about going to car shows without your ride. As I said before, RUST SUCKS. Cutting out and welding in sucks, it wouldn't be so bad if good panels where made for our cars.

$600 and only do what you have to do to get the wheels rolling as a DD. I bought my 2nd C-Body (78 Newport) last spring and I haven't driven it a single mile yet. My plan is to drive it to Carlisle this year. I've spent thousands $$$ and I have a mountain of parts for her ....and I work 60+ hours a week. It will be on the road this spring.....
