What's a fair offer?

Keep the price low $1000 is too much even in Canadian and don't ever take it apart until your 69 is running.

his exact words we're, I'd like to go to some shows with you grandson.

That's my reason. He's 90 now and I want him to get to see some seat time with me.

I'd like to do this one as a Cop car clone..........I've been collecting Cop parts and equipment for a few months now, as well as 440 parts....

Nick

I'll offer $1000 as the guy has a bunch of spare parts to go with the car....

Since you put it that way but I still think this car is not a good idea. It sounds as if your already planning a whole project with it and it's going to be nothing but a big distraction.
ultimately you're going to do whatever you want and I know the whole family thing can pull at your heartstrings but we (family included I'm sure) really want to see you finish your prized posession.

I bought my 2nd C-Body (78 Newport) last spring and I haven't driven it a single mile yet. My plan is to drive it to Carlisle this year. I've spent thousands $$$ and I have a mountain of parts for her ....and I work 60+ hours a week. It will be on the road this spring.....
I nominate this as "Post of the Day".

I understand what these good guys are saying, but if your vert isn't finished by the time your grandpa can still ride in one...

I have no idea how old he is and how good/not so good shape he is in, so you'll gotta decide this one yourself.

I only know this: if you are NEVER able to take a C-body drive with your grandfather and you had a chance to do so, you're going to regret it.

Just one point of view...

Nick, if you didn't live so damn far away, I'd lend you BitterSweet for a season just so you and grand dad could go to those car shows together!!!

A generous offer from your country man, but nothing - NOTHING - beats driving your own car to a car show...

Just the way it is, that's all.

Sorry to be such an hard ***!

Unfortunately he's 90, has two new hips (within the last year) and has some heart problems.

I lost my other grandfather in 2003 and I vowed then to make the most of what I had left. Now I know that I'm running on borrowed time and I want to make the most with what I do have left.

I can gurantee you guys that my Convertible is my priority, but I want to get grandpa out this summer, and make some memories. This sedan would only receive the bare minimum for now (new lines, brake service, tune-up) just enough to make it decent.

My Ragtop is getting all new everything within the next two months. The father-in-law is making sure of that.

Nick

Well, I'd like the tell you that this PL41 Is now mine, may I introduce the FCBO family to my Second Fuselage Fury, Dennis. He's nothing special, but he runs (well surprisingly) and will allow me to figure out some things for Angel and practice some things before performing them to Angel. Surprisingly Dennis is stupidly clean for his age.

Congrats Nick! I knew you weren't going to listen to reason, you're just like everyone else here with more than 1 project.

Congratulations on the new addition to the family! ! Since this car is a 73 it will have the excellent quality disc brakes, and should give you a very good idea of how your 69 Fury's brakes will be once installed.
