That blows big time! How old are the tires?

What a major bummer, dude. My brother's had a couple tire issues on his trailer(s). And I've had two rear blowouts on my truck camper (single rear wheels). It's not a fun experience...

I learned a long time ago not to use tires designed spicificly for trailers. I've never worn one out because they always seem to just blow apart before 10K miles. Good quality 8 or 10 ply truck tires are best.

Kinda where I am at for this years camping season. I have run E load range trailer tires for the last three years and I tear up at least two tires every trip. This year I am going with LT truck tires. The load rating is 3450 pounds versus the 2830 max on the E load trailer tires.

AH Yes. Not all memoriez are good memoriez aye Stan?
Did I ever tell ya about the time I was maxed out at a 100k with a single axle? Well, I was free wheeling down a steep grade when.... Yadda yadda yadda.

War stores, Jer. We've got to get together with 76bigblockdodge Dave and spend a day killing a bottle.

I did that on my 96 Dodge truck. That was one of the loudest and most damaging tire failures I've ever had. And it took me about 3 hours to unwrap it from the axle. I feel your pain brother.

Happened to one of my cars once. Good thing was I finally pulled through the resto I was moving ahead of me all the time due to the body damage I had to repair now anyways. So don't use old or cheap tires on things you don't want to restore anyways.
