I'm gathering parts in advance for my 65 Sporty project. I can't find any source that has a kit of body bumpers for this car. It seems like 66 and later b body stuff is plentiful but surely someone has a kit for the 65. Any ideas?

In many cases of non-B/E-body Chrysler Corp parts, you might not find "a kit" as such, BUT you can find the individual pieces from the restoration vendors. After all, their real volume was first in the B/E-body cars, with C-body cars only coming into prominence more recently. So they went toward "the money" rather than not.

The OTHER thing is that when people started doing "kits", their "sample cars" might not have been what YOUR car has on it. 1965 was the first model year for the then-new "C-body" platform. So there can be differences between the 1965 and 1966 model year items. BUT the Plymouth Furys have seemed to be the most popular C-body cars, as they were also the "volume sales leader", with Dodge a bit behind them.

Check out the Restoration Specialties link above to see if what you need is in their selection. Look for individual items, though, rather than "a kit".

TWO other things to consider. National-level Mopar Events, where all of the main repro vendors will have set-ups there. Chryslers at Carlisle is one that many in here go to each year. I, personally, have never been to that, but I went to Mopar Nationals (near Columbus, OH) for 17 out of 20 years, ending in 2005. The Manufacturers' Midway or new and repro vendors was amazing, as well as the Chrysler presence (back then). PLUS a huge swap meet area, normal and concours car show activities, and the magnitude of just what was there. A pretty good "car show" in the spectator parking lots, too! Plan on at least TWO days to ensure you see everything, too. Google should find their even website, too. Make your plans early as the hotels in Columbus tend to sell out fast. A LOT of walking, so start to get into shape now, if you need to.

Some have noted The 'Nats are not what they used to be, which might be true, but it can still be where you see lots of new stuff and lots of things others have done with their cars. People you should be able to talk to, also, which can be good in itself and help guide you in your project activities.

Just MY thoughts and experiences,

Thanks for the reply CBODY67. I do go to the nats usually and have set up at the swap meet there several times. It isn't what it used to be but neither am I. It's a good place to find stuff but I was hoping someone had stuff I could order. I'll take your advice and see if I can find the individual pieces. Thanks again.
