I'm a fan of all the big mopars. My only thing with the Dodge and Plym fuselage cars is how bland the interiors look. The broad vinyl and plastic dashes were common at that time just as Ford and Chevy. The slab cars didn't have the safety stds to worry about. The more chrome, fake wood and paint the better!
An interesting note regarding the 67 Chyslers was the difficulty they had getting good quarter panels at start of production. The break in the lower crease for the wheel opening caused a lot of rejected panels. Chrysler stopped building the dark color cars until they could get the panels stamped out properly. Our 67 was Turbine Bronze and still came early Oct. 66.

To specify a bit more, as far as Imperials go the '67 is my favorite but my second choice would be a fuselage. I think the slabbie C-body Chryslers are the pinnacle for me while the Plymouths and Dodges get close to equal billing to me wether from the slabbie or fuselage era. Although I like the formals I don't ever see myself really wanting one and it's hard for me to think about the forward look cars in the same light as any of the other 3 generations. I do lust after some of those F.L. cars and maybe someday...

Compared to a '65 or a '70? Yes. Those scalloped sides look like someone is sucking in their cheeks.
Now, if you like it, that's absolutely great and fine. Don't beat your head against a wall because the two of us have different tastes.
Every time I drive it. But, it's not a "Chrysler" thing, or even a year thing, it's an old car thing because I get it with the Gremlin too.
Last Friday I was working on my Dakota so I had the Newport and the Gremlin parked out front. A guy walking by stopped and took a long look at the Grem, ignoring the Newport. I found that interesting; I would have looked at both.
Maybe he was just a Gremlin kinda guy
To the title question ... back as late as 2013 I would have said Slab's without even thinking twice about it. 67/68 Sport Fury being the favorite
Now it's unquestionably both Slabs AND Fusies ... hell I want a 70 or especially a 71 SF GT so bad I've dreampt about it recently after seeing critter's beauty and all the other 71 SF GT's showcased here
I have also always liked slab 300's and have learned about and really grown to like to Fusie 300's and Polara's now too

One of my cousins was a Gremlin guy. He had a red one with a white stripe. Gabriel Hijackers and L60's on Cragar's on the rear. Looked stupid to me....
I would prefer a Fuselage, Slab,and in a pinch a Formal in that order over my Scamp.
Unfortunately I do not think there is a C body in my immediate future. I guess I have C body envy for the moment.
I will say my brown Scamp draws as much, if not more attention than my orange Duster.

I love the 68' new Yorker, but I put the most miles on a 71' new Yorker four door hardtop when the kids were Young.(1985-94)That car was one of nicest driving Chrysler's I have owned. I put many a mile on it with Wife, four kids ,luggage, and towing a 68' Charger behind it as we moved often back then. I keep looking for another, but they don't seem to come up much.
