Who's going to WPC meet in Windsor, Aug 6-11?

Hey all,

Anyone planning to attend the WPC National Meet in Windsor this August? Always a good time, great cars, excellent excursions etc.

A friend of mine is looking to share his hotel - the other person he was planning to go with has backed out.

Anyone?

Unless something comes up, I'll plan on being there. If I get the work done on my Monaco that I plan on between now and then, it will be there too. I don't need a hotel room, if I stay overnight it would be in my old bedroom!

I had assumed Mike was planning on staying at Caesar's so as to not have to park his car in an unguarded area etc., but perhaps not.

I'm looking at the WPC 2024 schedule of events, and I'm wondering who here will be staying at the Caesar's hotel (or I guess any hotel) and on which nights. Since I'm from the area I won't be staying at any hotel but if there's going to be a FCBO gang in Windsor then if I knew which night(s) you'll be in town then I presume you'll be socializing somewhere at some point?

About the only event that I would plan on participating in would be the actual static car show in the riverfront parking lot near the casino (Festival Plaza) on Saturday August 10 at 8 am, it runs until 2:30 pm. So at the very least I'd be in Windsor the day before, on the friday, and head back home (to London) on Saturday afternoon / evening.

There's a cruise night on the Friday night (Quellette Ave Car Cruise) - a general public event. What is the Forest Glade event? Who is organizing it / putting it on?

Will you be there for the Saturday morning Festival Plaza display? (will you be there all 3 nights in between? That's a long time to be in Windsor...)

Yup, arriving Tuesday night, leaving Sunday morning... going to all the WPC curated trips, Oullette cruise etc.

That's if I can get there... this happened today... compressor clutch decided it was time to retire from active service.

Took out all the belts, knicked each fan blade, and boogered the snout on the compressor. The fan and shroud protected the radiator, thankfully

Sigh... at least it happened 20 miles from home, and not 200 miles away in Windsor, and I have all the parts to fix it at home in my shop.
