Why this Fury should be put out of its misery!

I see these "cars" around once and awhile. Do these companies actully sponser the people that do this? There is a Dr. Pepper one in austin, Buick Park ave. jacked up with huge rims. What is annoying it has a PA speaker in the front bumper with friendly sounding music coming out of it.

I'm always one of the people who say "It's your car" and it is his car. He can do with it what he wants. The ability to personalise your car/truck is probably the best thing about this hobby. That said, if it were my car I certainly wouldn't have done that to it.

I find myself wondering how long some people plan their projects before they actually start on them. I mean, if you get an idea to build something like that, maybe while having a few beers with friends and you get started on it in a few days or a week, compared to if you had a couple of years to think about what you wanted to build. :shruggy:

I could've liked this car if he would have just done the wheels, sidepipes and paint. :)

Road Wheels? REALLY??

BTW, loco is correct, it is a 66 Polara! No Furys were harmed.

I used to be (still am I guess) a Honda guy and I've seen all kinds of stuff over there. lol And of course I've been on the receiving end of ridicule from my American V8 brethren for it.

That said, it might be his car. But we can still point and laugh among ourselves! ;)

sure thing! I mounted a scoop onto my hood once and got beat up pretty bad over it...

I love it.... I can just imagine a couple guys sitting around having a few beers and saying "What can we do to get a car on every forum?" Then they see some pics of a crazy Japanese custom car show.

They say "Hmmm.... there's that old Dodge out behind the barn and that crashed Nissan next to it... What could we do with them?"

A lot of bondo, paint and beer (a lot of beer) and the two vehicles become one.... They take it to a car show and the rest is internet history.

Jeez that's even worse than the one we're discussing.

Of course, we can comment, criticize and laugh. If the owner would've told us what he planned on doing with his car, I suppose we could have tried to talk him out of it, but in the end, he's gonna do what he's gonna do.

I have these wheel covers/hub caps on my '70 Mercury, but they're actually from an F-series truck. I honestly don't know what to think when I see some of these customized vehicles, except that, yeah, they spent a lot of time and money on them and some of them must be really skilled to have been able to build them. :)

These all qualify as what are known as "art cars". Way beyond just custom (or "Kustom"), these are just beyond.
