Winter 2014...

I'm getting a Green Egg smoker in spring.
Green eggs are cool. Check out Traeger before you buy though. I realize that I am a vegetarian talking about grills but I am a true foodie & you just can't beat the wood pellets for flavor.

Smokin hot body!

I definitely will.....any particular model number you have in mind?

Well ..... I guess just eating the wood pellets is cheaper then buying the grille and burning them.

I'll shovel her snow.........

Where is the damper? How do you regulate the heat if you want to smoke long and slow?

You just set the dial to whatever temperature you want from 80 - 450. Load the hopper with 18 lbs of pellets & you can walk away for hours without having to touch it.

Or, crank it up to 450 & use it just like a normal grill except with delicious wood smoke flavor.

What controls that dial? Electric and a fan?

I imagine the pellets are available in variety.....hickory, cherry, apple, etc.

There's a heating element about the size of your pinkie that a fan blows across inside a heat box. The pellets are fed by an auger. Load the hopper, set the temp & walk away. There's also a smoke setting.

Yep & they sell them at a bunch of places, including Costco, Cabellas, etc. or you can obviously get them on the internet.

I'll have to seriously consider one of those grills. Does it have an adequte catch pan for the juices?

Huge pan but mine doesn't get used since it's never had any meat on it.
