That looks like blue...
It was a factory 383 originally, so not sure. I won't be painting it green though, this car will have NO green!!
Lol, I have a spare 383 engine and trans sitting under the bench too, and it came out of a 1970 Fury.I have a 383 engine I bought from some dude down in Grimesland......still sitting in the shop
The green is original but is so thin I can see the original primer through it in some places. It needs a total respray. Plus with the original engine and trans long gone I don't feel bad about changing it to a color I want as i will be keeping this car. There was another guy I believe that was going to buy it for parts. So I don't feel too bad about changing some things.Great score! I would be on the fence with the color change on this one. Easier without the original motor, but then again I happen to like green. Is the paint that is on it, original?
Which trans? The one in the car or the one on the back of the 383?Send that transmission north will ya?
Yes it will be a keeper, after four green cars, I'm over it.Congrats Gary! I'd vote for color change on this one especially if you are planning on keeping both.
If the 383 goes in the S23 I will need it, But I always come across more, I have sold 3 big block transmissions already. Actually I might have a spare, I will have to check.Under the bench
