Wollfen's 1970 Plymouth Sport Fury S23

Why not green? I know your 71's green but it's F8 and it's a better looking color than this car. I do love black though.

It was a factory 383 originally, so not sure. I won't be painting it green though, this car will have NO green!! :mob:

Please look at the fender tag and do it like it came from the factory. A rare car deserves it IMHO.

If you want to built a car of your likes you don't need a rare model to start with. A Fury III or whatever will be enough to do so.

Maybe it is my illness but I can't even change s stripe on a car (if there were two available) and if it has the wrong one for me from the factory.

I thought nice project car... until I saw that cowl/A pillar... she did go to the right home. While I would normally be with Carsten on the color issue, I don't think many others would resurrect her. For me, and with the amount of work you will be doing, a color change isn't the end of the world. IDK if there is a big value for the finished car, but I think it would be a debate if original green would be better than black for this one.

Congrats Gary! I'd vote for color change on this one especially if you are planning on keeping both.

Great score! I would be on the fence with the color change on this one. Easier without the original motor, but then again I happen to like green. Is the paint that is on it, original?

Will be fun to watch this car progress. Black will look awesome. Make it the way you would order it new.

Wow, quite the project! As I looked at the pictures the rust didn't look to bad until I got to the trunk corners, the rear window and the cowl. Still with a good donor and a bunch of skill it should work out just fine. You've got both so I'll be watching to see how it's done - but 6 months - wow!!
As I recall, the S23's were introduces mid-year and were only available with limited number of color, roof material, interior material options. Black with a red interior will look awesome, especially if the black makes it look like Bill's black GT. I love the look of black, but after driving a black '59 Old's 98 HT for a couple years, I'll never own another black car. I washed that stupid car so many times that 50 years later I now avoid washing any car if at all possible!!

The green is original but is so thin I can see the original primer through it in some places. It needs a total respray. Plus with the original engine and trans long gone I don't feel bad about changing it to a color I want as i will be keeping this car. There was another guy I believe that was going to buy it for parts. So I don't feel too bad about changing some things.

Congratulations on getting the car.

For what it's worth, if you do change the color, it will always be a "green" car with a color change. But it's yours so obviously do what you think is best.

My vote is keep it the original color even if you hate it.

congrats again!

my green interior in my 70 grew on me...its not green now its emerald....
