Your getting some mileage out of that parts car.Checked the front windscreen surround today while working on Bobs car and also sealing the roof of the house. So much to do around here lol. But anyway with the weather closing in I got cracking on what I could do before it started raining. Here are some pics showing the windscreen surround rust, but inside the cowl it is solid and good, so I wont need to replace that. Based on that I cut out the windscreen frame of the 73 NYB here which is almost rust free.

Get cracking man!Took me three years to get to that point with the vert.
That's what closets are for.Hmmm, you must not have children....
Got a bit more done today, cut and air chiselled the old trunk floor out. then inspected the chassis rails, they are perfect! So all I did as clean them out and seal them with zinc chromate. The tops of the rails will be ground smooth then use weld through primer on there. After that I will start test fitting the new floor. Stay tuned.

In case anyone was wondering, great stuff!Brute Force and Ignorance (bit of a Rory Gallagher there reference - great track from his 1978 album "Photo Finish"):
Isnt that what you did to your Newport Stan?
Does fixing the hole for the radio count?Isnt that what you did to your Newport Stan?
Yeah I cut mine further inboard than you folded on account my panel is wider with the quarter extensions in place, you will note my cut lines up with the part of the panel that curves up toward the front which would have prevented me from folding it. But hey your way worked too.I was wondering how you would fit it without removing the tail panel. I actually folded mine, about where you cut, and unfolded as I welded.
