Is he looking to be absolutely factory correct? Pristine parts?Posting for a friend, he’s in North Carolina, I’m in DC. I can connect both of you. Thank you!
IRT factory correct, yes. IRT pristine, no. He's handy, so if anything is dented/scratched, he can correct. Thank you for the response! Is he looking to be absolutely factory correct? Pristine parts?
Actually by my second post I had 440 stuck in my head so if he needs a correct one for a 383 or one with 2 snorkels I can’t help. How about H or G engine vin?
Title says B or RB
Yep I had 440 on the brain too. Maybe the OP can narrow it downActually by my second post I had 440 stuck in my head so if he needs a correct one for a 383 or one with 2 snorkels I can’t help.
There’s only 2 part numbers for a 440 with single snorkel in 1967, with and without c.a.p..
How about 1967 Imperial with the longer snorkel? And the top that accepts a pie tin. I've owned 2 of those jewels. There’s only 2 part numbers for a 440 with single snorkel in 1967, with and without c.a.p..
Nope. At least not according to the ‘67 parts book. There were 2 versions of the single snorkel for the 440, w & w/out cap and thats it.How about 1967 Imperial with the longer snorkel? And the top that accepts a pie tin. I've owned 2 of those jewels.
Then 383 2bbl and 440 low horse air cleaner has one short snorkel and the top won't take a pie tin.
I currently have 2 ‘67 Imps so I’m well aware of what they look like and I also have a couple of spare ‘67 air cleaners from Imperials. We have all run across omissions in the parts book, so let's forget the book for a moment. Matt, what have you seen on cars? Have you seen an Imperial have a long single snorkel air cleaner that takes a pie tin?
Have you seen an imperial pie tin? They won't fit the short single snorkel air cleaners.
See if you can find the 1968 Imperial pie tin in the parts book. Should be right next to the 440 magnum and super commando for the B bodies.
Here are some photos.

All you could get in a ‘67 Imp was the “low horse” 440…How about 1967 Imperial with the longer snorkel? And the top that accepts a pie tin. I've owned 2 of those jewels.

I will PM you. Thank you.I am pretty sure I have a 67 440 C body air cleaner in the loft, but I would need a reference picture. I did not mark them when I took them off back in the day.

Good, I though you might have seen these. So how can the parts book with just 2 air cleaners you found. be the end all on these? You didn't find the Imperial air cleanser in there.I currently have 2 ‘67 Imps so I’m well aware of what they look like and I also have a couple of spare ‘67 air cleaners from Imperials.
Without having looked at any reference materials accept the ‘67 parts book I will say I don’t recall seeing a short round single snorkel air cleaner on a 440 in a ‘67.
Everything I said was prefaced by “according to the ‘67 parts book”.Good, I though you might have seen these. So how can the parts book with just 2 air cleaners you found. be the end all on these? You didn't find the Imperial air cleanser in there.
I'm not trying to start things, but you post stating NO NO NO there are only 2 is incorrect, and you just concurred with that, so thank you for that.
I never said a short snorkle came on a 440. The poster posted for B and RB parts wanted.
