Your favorite movie from the year your car was built.

Do tell, color combo? Any pictures? A dream car for me.

It was T5 fire bronze W/black interior, I spec'ed it out myself. I posted a rather lengthy story about the car here some time ago. A search might bring it up again if you want to read it.

1974... so many to choose from, The Longest Yard, Death Wish, Dirty Mary- Crazy Larry, The Godfather Part II, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot. I'm mellowing with age, so I'll say:

I forgot the wagon...1977, let's see. Close Encounters of the Third Kind, James Bond-The Spy Who Loved Me, Slap Shot, The Car, A Bridge Too Far, Star Wars. I really like Jackie Gleason, so:

YOU. The owner of my old car. Had a couple of General Lees....

I had a 68 with a built 440 with a max wedge intake and my high school car was a 69 Charger Rt 440.4speed,dana 60.
The 69 went 135 and the 68 went 150. I ran them flat out many times.

I hate those General Lee car jump pics....reminds me that at the end there's another old Charger that will never grace the roads again.

If I ever end up getting a C-body, it will be a 66 Sport Fury convertible. Someday maybe I'll have one. Meanwhile my favorite movie from 1966 is "What Did You Do In The War Daddy". Set in WWII Italy, the Americans are ordered to take the village of Valerno. Without firing a shot, the Italians offer to surrender in the morning if they are allowed to participate in the village's annual festival that night.
