So I'm going through some boxes of stuff I've accumulated over the years, and found a picture of the first car I ever purchased taken at my dads house probably in 1979 or 1980.
I don't remember taking the pic, but sure was surprised when I found it.
Paid $1000 for it in 79 and sold it in 83 or 84 for $1400. This is the one that got me hooked.
It would be interesting to see other members first cars.

Not a picture of my car, but it was a 1960 Plymouth Savoy 2 door sedan identical to this one. It had a 318, three speed. My uncle bought it new and it was sold to my Dad in 1967. I got it in about 1970. Got hit in the front end later and had a maroon and white Belvedere front clip put on it. I didn't have a license yet, but drove it around the rural neighborhood anyway. First car I got after my license was a 64 Dodge.

I think we did this already. . .

If I could find photos of my first car (1987 Buick Skylark that lasted 24hrs followed by an 84 Ford Escort that lasted 2 years and ran on 3 cyl) I just don't think any of you would care to look at the pieces of sh**... just saving you time.

Well i did some asking around and i think i may have found your car the guy you sold it to kept your 87 Skylark in a climate controlled garage on a shelf with all of his other classic cars.
He stated that he has never driven them because he thinks of them as art .... asking price for your car one billion dollars ... with five hundred down with in 24 hours .

THIS IS GONNA RULE! JUST LIKE THAT 24 HOUR PERIOD AFTER I GOT IT BUT BEFORE THE ENGINE LOST COMPRESSION COMPLETELY.

My first car [no pics] was a 1963 Ford Falcon station wagon.

1990 got my first car. It was Dodge Dart 4d Custom. Got driving license -92. So got 2 year to build it. Torsion bar cross member was rusted, so was rear lower quarters and windshield upper corners.
360 and A999 was totally wasted... rear end was 7 1/4 with sure-grip... 360 got 292 cam, headers, ported heads with 2.02 intake valves., windage tray, Edelbrock intake, 750cfm DP etc.... A999 full rebuild and 2800rpm converter. And that puny 7 1/4 suregrip... it handle every thing from 12.9 1/4 mile with clued track to shitlong burnouts and could handle what ever young 18 guy could think... :D

Not mine, but one just like it, same colors even. I inherited it when reverse went out and Mom wouldn't drive it anymore.

My first car was a 1955 Chevy, I didn't own it but was mine exclusively to use, from about 1981-1984

I was given a 1973 Barracuda after that, about 1984, parents didn't sign off the title for several years.

The first car that was actually in my name was my 1967 Barracuda in 1985 that my grandfather gave me (he purchased new), I still own this one.
