6th Annual C Body Show

Same location, with rain :)

The day started dry. Of course, there is no dry county for C-bodies… Note the posted price of gas — in reality it was $4 cheaper (malfunction of the display — I checked before filling up).

Sadly, the weather soon turned for the worse. The upside? I’m happy to report that the wipers work perfectly and that the TNT remained bone-dry despite lots of rain!

But driving for hours in the rain was all worth it. I counted 31 C-bodies plus their owners! Lots of fusie Dodges (one '69 wagon, two '70 'verts, two '71 hardtops).

It was a real treat to see a 1971 GF3 Polara and a 1971 GJ4 Monaco Brougham parked next to one another. The Monaco sold a year ago in Iowa.

This photo shows the difference between the two colors in overcast/rainy weather (in the background is another green Dodge, @71Polara383's 1969 Polara wagon -- the Servprolara).

That Polara was a joy to drive.

I really appreciate everyone that ventured out to the 6th annual C Body show this year, despite the poor weather we had for the day. You all deserve a round of applause.
The final car count that showed up is somewhere between 31 & 34 who were there and/or may had left early or arrived later after the rain slowed down. I know I missed one or two cars or there may have been some that didn't sign in at the tent too, but all in all it was a good showing, especially when the rain stopped for a little while.
There was roughly 52 people by my estimation in attendance, and even though we were crowded underneath two pop up tents at times because of the rain, it gave everyone a good chance to speak with others who came to the show.
Next year I'll bring some doggy bags with me for any leftover food to pass out at the end of the show. I'll be eating chicken, mostaccioli and sausage & peppers for the next couple days, but I don't mind.
As we all know there aren't any trophies given at the C Body show, but we aways have everyone's name put into a raffle for door prizes and gift cards. I want to mention Jeremy a.k.a. @furious70 although was unable to attend, donated some of the hand outs for this year's event.
I took pics of most of the cars, but as mentioned above, I know there are a few more I missed.
Here's my daughter who helped out a lot with the day's events as well as designing of the C Body flyer this year. She really likes driving the 69 Imperial, and is a better driver than some guys I know...

We had some new attendees this year too...

I know I took a pic or two of Michels 70 TNT300, but some didn't save to my phone for some reason. @ayilar & @Ripinator arrived together sometime between the rain drops.
@Xenon had his (Modified HP) T&C at there this year for its unveiling, but gosh, I didn't don't have a pic of that one either:(
But I do have a few more that were captured on my phone....

Sorry @cbarge I didn't get a pic of Maggie w/o the wind screen...
FWIW, I wish I had one of those on Saturday for my leaky windshield.

Thats all the pics I took. Maybe somebody can post more from the show.
We would have had at least another 10 to 15 cars at the 2022 show, but the number of rides that showed up made this year the 2nd largest gathering since the event began.

I'll be thinking of plans for next year sometime down the road, but thanks go out to all for making some good C Body memories happen this year.
All the best.

Tim thank you for putting on the show for its 6th year. Aside from the weather this was one of your best shows. It was great to see so many old and new friends again. The car count was very good at 31or 33 cars. It was nice to see the diversity among the car lines was pretty dam cool. Your little get together is growing. To all FCBO members this is the best one tank road trip to attend. Your hospitality is top shelve quality too. Will see you again in 2023. Here are some pics I took.

It was nice to meet several of you! We had the '66 New Yorker on Saturday and that car along with the '59 DeSoto on Sunday.

Starting to get enough cars you could start parking them by make and year.
