Battery cable colors are probably correct.
I have the original positive battery cable on my '65 Barracuda and it's black.
The original terminal ends were probably the flag style that I've never seen correctly reproduced. My solution is to replace with a newer style terminal. 99% of the people looking at it won't know (or care) and it's neater looking than a beat up terminal or the ugly temporary terminal (which is a failure waiting to happen).
@Toolmanmike had some solder on flag style terminals but I don't know as he's done anything with them.
Here's an A body with flag style terminals, not quite the original type, but close. Note

My solution was to splice in a new terminal from an "off the shelf" replacement cable on the original positive cable (note color) for my Barracuda. I did this as the repop battery cable is stupid money (close to $300) and isn't correct anyway. The splice isn't easily seen when the battery is in the car. I like the cars to be "correct" looking, but I also know it's not a 100 point resto that isn't going to be driven, so it's a good compromise for me.
