Last night someone broke into my garage and stole most of the tools I had acquired over the last 40 years, Well I have insurance, and at least they did not get my 300.Now for the fun of dealing with the insurance company.

That sucks big time. It's a pain trying to prove what you had, and good luck finding new tools of the same quality.

The addict that stole the tools has already sold them. Hopefully the POS ODs on the **** he bought with the proceeds. And don't get me started on the war on drugs.
That SUCKS! I know you're retired, but those still had lots of use left for you. I completely geek out anytime the garage door is open and somebody cruises past who doesn't go to a house... Too much invested, too much I don't ever plan to get rid of or replace.

The hardest part is some of the tools I have had for 40 years, some are probably unreplaceable now, like a 1/2" dist. wrench.

That really sucks. Get on craigslist right now. They only steal this stuff to sell for drugs and rarely for anything else.

Sorry to hear that. There are a lot of jerks out there. Someone broke into my dad's truck the other day. It was filled with tools, but on the bright side all they took were his glasses... which they promptly dropped in the driveway.

Totally agree with this, I only hope the insurance company deals fairly with you. Did you have replacement coverage? They may want to depreciate the value of the tools because of the age.

Yes I have replacement coverage, but a $500.00 deductible, so even what they give me will only replace half of it. Had an alarm company out, and since I rent they want the first six months up front. again this is going to hurt, but thanks guys, Mopar lovers are the best.

Sorry to here about this incident. I feel for you. With the bad luck trying to tail you, things can only start looking up!! I know it is a small consolation but tools (not all of them) can be replaced, your life can't. You never know what some douche is out to do.
