So are you saying I can post a comment in a FS topic w/o Joey kicking me in the butt? I'd rather hear that from him TBH. He's a good guy and I wouldn't expect that, but it's contrary to what he posted a few days ago. You can understand my confusion. I just want to not be offside.
He posted the rules so they were posted clearly, they might not have been previously. He was just doing what he's done on the other sites. We usually don't get offensive in our comments, just pointing out the condition of the car to it's fullest, just to make others aware. Personal attacks are still taboo.

Most commentary here is not on a thread by the seller, but discussion on ads that were found elsewhere and posted here for our enjoyment. I don't think there is an issue with that. Interfering with an ad posted by a member for his/her own stuff is a different thing.
Pretty much, yes. Comments are not fair to the seller and clutter up the thread for the people actually interested in the item. And then there is the part about if the comment is positive or negative and fair or unfair. How about you post things for sale and I let someone come in your ads telling everyone how your part sucks and they can get it cheaper elsewhere? I bet after awhile of that happening you wouldnt be posting many ads.
FWIW, after all of the drama, I made a fluff post in another member's ad... someone I figured wouldn't get too riled by my chatter... I got away with it. AFAIAC, its business as usual .
I may speak up again, if I see someone trying to take advantage of the membership, and then it will be up to Joey how he wants to handle the complaint. I doubt things will get too crazy.

Interesting take on this but based on the number of cars he’s peddling I’m thinking he’s just your average dealer type.
