    Brake booster replace.

That booster was used, basically, from 1965-70 until 4-whl drum brakes were discontinued, as I recall. www.powerbrakebooster.com can rebuild yours. Auto-supply remans are NOT universally good, by observation. You might get lucky, but do NOT return yours as a "core" for them! What is seen on...

66 Fury III Manual to Power Drum

The brake pedal height, and the length of the push rod are longer on a manual break car. The factory conversion kit used a bracket that pushed the booster and master cylinder out farther from the fire firewall to accommodate for the longer pushrod.

Don’t go through the trouble. I’ve just purchased the power disc booster from the 69 polara parts car I bought my disc brakes from. Thanks anyways.

Power Boost Break - Valve Cover

Hello On my 1971 Fury the power brake booster hits the valve cover. When looking for the error I tried to find out which would be the correct power brake booster. I found the following numbers in the parts catalog: W Auto Trans 3579267 Unfortunately, the search for the number was...

    Another Disc brake question.

To me, the POINT is that IF Chrysler's performance standards could have been met with the drum brake power booster on power front disc brake vehicles, they would NOT have spent the money to put the dual-diaphram booster on the disc brake cars, period. It's about the total area of the...

Wrong brake booster? Holes dont line up

I had a 69 Fury with power drum brakes, it had the Midlands single diaphragm and the 69 New Yorker, power disc brake car I have, has a Bendix Dual Diaphragm booster.

69 300, hard brakes; booster and valve question

I'm gently reviving a 69 300 and it's responding well. That said, the brakes are hard to press when moving the car around the driveway and in and out of the garage (no dragging, grinding or other weirdness, just needs a real hard press) and I need to get this sorted before I do anything more...

1964 New Yorker gets 1978 Cordoba 11.75-disc brakes.

I didn't expect the booster to provide excellent performance. But I'm not surprised that it does. It was the usual case of start at the beginning and go until the jobs done. Fortunately, a new booster was not part of the job.

    69 Chrysler brake booster question

Update on the brakes: So it turned out that the master cylinder was seized in the forward position. The brake pedal push rod was moving in free space without even touching the master cylinder, which is why we had zero brake pedal. We swapped on a new master cylinder, bled the brakes and now the...

A few years back, I bought from an eBay seller an NOS Mopar-branded power brake booster, complete with bracket, brake lines and vacuum line. Will it work? Lol

For you guys that say the drum booster is fine - have you done a super-hard stop yet? And have you done that super-hard stop with a near-identical car in the lane next to you (but a car with a disc booster)? If you haven't, there's no way to know if you're missing out on some braking power. I'm...

Asking for a little tech help understanding 1961 Chrysler power brakes.

Hello folks - I've bought my '61 Newport, haven't even received it yet, and I'm already evaluating a few modifications. First on my list is usually brakes, and I'm fine keeping the drums provided they are working correctly, or can be made to do so, and that their performance is good. I've had...
